Paracord Lanyard

Parachute cord (paracord) is one of my favorite cord to play with when I was little kid, although at that time I only could tie a round sinnet. I got into Stormdrane’s Blogs and I was impressed with his tying. So I went out and bought about 150 feet 550 type 3 paracord yesterday at Beavers Army Surplus local store. I couldn’t wait to learn some of these new knots and braids, I learned diamond knot and a solomon bar as my entry level.

      Thank you,

I’m trying to do the king cobra bracelet on a release buckle. I couldn’t know how to finish tying the ending. Any tips?

Besides the usual melting the ends in place, you can use hemostats/forceps to work the ends of the cord back under a couple of the center knots then trim and tuck to hide them. It does make the section where they’re tucked bulge slightly, but still looks good. You can tuck both the ends on the same side or one on each side.

You can also use a Sharpie or laundry marker to color the white inner strands that show after you’ve melted the ends in place.

How is the ring created (bottom lanyard)? Did Stormdrane post instructions for that?

For the ring, it is pretty easy to do. You just take out the strings inside paracord and loop it in the ring.
