Pretty easy steps following on iPhone:

1. Touch Settings icon to open iPhone settings.
2. Scroll down and touch on General.
3. Touch on Network.
4. Now you will see Personal Hotspot is Off.
5. Touch on Personal Hotspot.
6. To enable it, just slide the OFF button to ON.
7. Remember to reset your Wi-Fi Password as well.

There you go, now you can freely use your iPhone to data tethering to any other devices. BTW, you have to ask your cellular carrier about this data tethering, it may cost you a bit.

The new iPhone OS 3.0 was leaked out on torrent sites and I was able to download it. It’s called “iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw” release. Note to 7A341 is the one you want. I couldn’t wait for another few days until the official released version. Oh well, what the heck, I wanna try out this new OS anyway.

I used iTunes 8.2 to do the update and it was successful installed on my iPhone 3G. This new OS features I’ve noticed includes:

• Voice Memos (able to record your voice)
• MMS (send photos, movie clips, … by messaging)
• Search iPhone (spotlight search)
• Cut, copy and paste
• Appz Store Redeem (enter code to redeem your iTunes Gift Card)
• Store setting (view your Account or Sign out)
• and more …

Apple just announced the new iPhone 3G “S“ will be released on June 19. It’s going to be crazy again with all the iPhone fans! For me, I guess I have to wait for Rogers Wireless (Canada) to get my hands on it. So, this new iPhone 3GS will have these new features compared to iPhone 3G:

• Built-in Video Camera (3 megapixel, autofocus, auto white balance)
• Video Recording (30fps VGA)
• Voice Control
• Cut, Copy and Paste (finally)
• Compass
• Spotlight Search

• Internet Tethering
• Water/Oil Resistance finish

And yet, the new iPhone OS 3.0 will be released two days earlier on June 17. I can’t wait to see what’s is this new OS about, and I can’t wait to see the new jailbrake going to happen or not.

After spending almost a month on playing this Mafia Wars on my iPhone and I’ve managed it to level 716 (screenshot above). Zynga development team released the new update 1.1 yesterday so that they can fix some of the bugs / glitchs / improvements to make the game more fun or whatever. Oh well, after I updated, the game is definitely somehow faster or it’s just my head. I see few new stuffs they’ve added and the game is just harder to level up for now.

Zynga just released this little amazing game for iPhone and iPod Touch on April 5th. You can Download Mafia Wars for Free on iTunes. In 3 more days, Apple will reveal the new OS 3.0 update for iPhone. I would love see what are the features will be included in OS 3.0. Well, I’m pretty sure my jailbroke iPhone is gonna be erased and replaced with this new updates. I hope they will include copy and paste feature, or Safari flash plugin browser support… So, stay up to date on March 17.

What would you do with your iPhone 3G? I’ve been using this iPhone 3G since it was first released from Rogers. I haven’t jailbroke it since then. Today I was thinking I’m gonna jailbreak and unlock it as well. The steps are pretty simple and straight forward.

OK. Before you do all these steps, you may have to backup your stuffs (contacts, photos, ringtones, …) I’ve just lost all of them now… DAMN IT, learned my lesson now.

1. First, you need to JAILBREAK it using this site TUTORIAL (windows user)
2. Second, to UNLOCK your iPhone by following these steps from this site TUTORIAL. (Cydia Installer)
3. Finally, enjoy your new unlocked iPhone

NOTE: the reason I unlock my iPhone is for this summer travel purposes.
