iPhone OS 3.0 Leak Successful Installed
UPDATED: As today, June 17, 2009: You can now update your iPhone OS 3.0 from your iTunes software. Just click “Check for Update” from iTunes and it will automatically download and update itself.

The new iPhone OS 3.0 was leaked out on torrent sites and I was able to download it. It’s called “iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw” release. Note to 7A341 is the one you want. I couldn’t wait for another few days until the official released version. Oh well, what the heck, I wanna try out this new OS anyway.
I used iTunes 8.2 to do the update and it was successful installed on my iPhone 3G. This new OS features I’ve noticed includes:
- Voice Memos (able to record your voice)
- MMS (send photos, movie clips, … by messaging)
- Search iPhone (spotlight search)
- Cut, copy and paste
- Appz Store Redeem (enter code to redeem your iTunes Gift Card)
- Store setting (view your Account or Sign out)
- and more …
You can download: iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw (886) it here. Remember: I’m not responsible for anything happened to your iPhone, download at your own risk. Good luck.
Note: Just few days, my web hosting just put through over 20GB bandwidth for this file. If you like my webhost, you can SIGN UP for one yourself too. Thanks for your support.

Dude,
great post, but I wouldn’t want to risk hosting the ipsw myself if i were you. I can almost hear the C&D lawyers firing up their printers!
all the best
Glad you like it. I thought about it too, but this is a personal blog, I intend using it for my testing purpose.
Hey mate… thanks so much for this – worked perfectly on my 3G. FINALLY got rid of the nasty performance issue when connecting to a WiFi network using a proxy.
Incidentally, reading Apple’s site it says that the iPhone 3G S launches web pages and apps faster, however this OS update seems to do the same. I am finding it zippier than 2.1.1 and it seems like everything is much smoother.
Thanks again, and I’m loving your website
